FAQs

You Ask. I Answer.

How do I prepare for a spray tan?

Be sure to book your tan at least 24 hours prior to your event. Spray tans take 24 hours to fully develop!

Prep by exfoliating with a scrub and using an exfoliating mitt. Be sure to shower 12+ hours before your tan. Shave and wax all unwanted hair 24+ hours before your tan.

What do I wear to my appointment?

Wear dark, loose clothing. Tight fitting clothing or underwear may cause marks. Wear shoes that slide on or are loose fitting.

Don't apply moisturizer, perfume, or deodorant, or makeup on the day of application. These products may act as a barrier against your skin and can prevent the DHA tanning actives from developing evenly.

If it is raining/snowing, I recommend bringing an umbrella to protect your tan.

Which moisturizer and sunscreen should I use to prolong my tan?

There are a number of things to avoid while you have a tan. These ingredients can speed up the exfoliation process causing the tan to come off quicker than it would otherwise.

Keeping your skin moisturized is key! Be sure to moisturize twice a day for best results and an even fade.

What do I do after my tan?

Your spray tan artist will give you detailed instructions on when to rinse.

Your first rinse after your tan should be in lukewarm water. Pat dry with a towel, do not rub. Avoid sweating, heat, steam, chlorine, and soaps during the first 24 hours of your spray tan.

Try not to touch your skin during development time.

After the first 24 hours, you are free to resume normal business. You can use soaps, lotions, etc.
